Explorer Internet Question

I have used the internet on prior Explorer sailings but never used any instant messaging. I have always used cyber cabin and tried AOL once but couldnt connect, I thought maybe it was due to the connection or that I was doing something wrong. I recall using instant messenger from another ship which had a wireless connection but that wasn't an RCCL ship. Does anyone know if its possible to " IM " on AOL or MSN Messenger using the wireless connection? DD is interested in this since she wants to stay in touch with her bf.

We've never tried to use IM--e-mai seems to work just fine. (The connections are slow, and IMing can really rack up the minutes!)

Hi - we used Messenger last week on the Serenade on both our laptop and their desktops, no problems.
