News reports are that this ferry is stopping on 1 September 2008.

My personal opinion is that it is vital that we keep a ferry link between Scotland and Norway & it is also used for mini cruises in either direction.

Smyril Line's Norröna sails from Scrabster mid-June until the end of August but there is no other direct ferry.

I think we need to campaign to keep a sea link because I have met both international & UK travellers who can't/won't fly and use this ferry to access Norway.

What are your opinions please?

:( Today has just seen the announcement that Superfast ferries is closing its Rosyth to Zeebrugge in mid-September.

This leaves Scotland with only a short summer season of ferry service to Europe or Scandinavia. We need to do something now.

Any suggestions anyone?
