buttah75 Posted May 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2008 It seems as though Princess lets you cancel w/in 24 hours, whereas the private companies (at least some of the whale-watching tours), require 2 weeks notice, correct? We have four fickle family members, who due to fears of motion sickness or whatever, may change their minds about certain excursions, my DH being the worst offender. So this is an important distinction! This is the case, right?
Budget Queen Posted May 30, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 30, 2008 Each company has their own cancelation policy. Ship tours usually have a more generous policy.
thinfool Posted May 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 30, 2008 So this is an important distinction! This is the case, right? Fyi, we took the ship excursion (Princess). It was a tour boat with a capacity of 100 or so. The sea (Juneau) was mildly choppy. I saw some of the smaller operators in much smaller boats....my stomach sent me a message of thanks for choosing the larger boat. We saw tons of whales, including one pod that was bubble-net feeding. (also, seals, dall porpoise, eagles)
buttah75 Posted May 30, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted May 30, 2008 thanks, thinfool. If you spend too much time obsessively reading on CC (which I do) you begin to get the feeling you simply CAN'T go with the cruise tour. But with our tight schedule and my fickle family, I do feel more comfortable that way!
