We sailed on the Liberty earlier this month. Loved every minute of it! One of my favorites was the mongolian grill and the shrimp quesadillas at the mexican window. Beautiful ship and a wonderful cruise experience. If you want to read more on the Liberty or ask specific questions here's a link that brings up the everything Liberty thread :) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=561227

Enjoy your cruise :)

The light fixtures in the atrium and other various places throughout the ship are cast iron (at least they look like it), and the bulbs change colors. I also liked the second floor of the casual dining area. It wasn not that crowded. It really was a pretty ship...

Here are a few pics of her...

What's the best night to go to the supper club? Or, in other words, which night has the worst food?

In the past, we always chose "beef wellington night" as the night as we didn't like any of the dishes, including beef wellington!

I sail in 15 days.

I would look at it another way. The only dining room meal you don't want to miss is lobster/duck night. Harry's is so good that it blows away the banquet food on any night. I have heard from many that Harry's is the best supper club on any ship anywhere.

  I totally agree with you on the food and ambiance - it was awesome. Nick and Nora's on the Miracle was great as well. The best night that I found for us was the third at sea day. The first one you are getting settled in, the second was the first formal eveing, the third was just a regular sea day. I also stay away from port days as well because I never know how tired and sunned out I will be after an excursion. If you have never been to the Supper Club before here are a couple of hints.

Do not eat for a few hours before as there is a hugh amount of food plus samples sent from the chef. And if you love chocolate you must have the chocolate trio thingy - it is to die for.

Fresh off the Liberty today and what a wonderful time we had! I thnk the beef wellington night was Thursday the second formal night. I did not think the food was that great in the dining room that night if you want to go to Harry's that night. (I am not dissing the dining room food, I thought it was great, this just probably my least fav night.)

That said I did not enjoy Harry's so much and did not think it was worth the $30 each we paid. The samples sent by the chef were bite sized. You only get one of each course, if you would like 2 appetizers forget it. If you want 2 entrees they will charge you another $30. If you get surf and turf you get a 4 oz filet and 6 oz lobster tail. My filet was too done and I had to send it back, I imagine it is hard to cook that tidbit of food medium??

Considering that in the dining room they will bring you whatever you want I do not think that is unreasonable to expect that for $30 additional. And they are saving the food they would have given you included in your fare at the dining room that night so to me the price was too high for what you got.

And I did not understand why the restaurant was only half full. We could not get a reservation at 7 or 7:30 so I assumed it would be full during those times and it was not.

Enough on that, the Liberty was great. The shows were better than expected; great costumes and singers and dancers. The decor is nice, even the hallways by the cabins were accented nicely. We went to the atrium bar most nights to hear Just Duet and enjoyed watching several couples who knew how to dance... I enjoyed how the lights change colors and watching some people who dance their way up in the glass elevators!

The Liberty was a great ship and you should have a wonderful time! I don't know what route you are going but we loved the Eastern Exotic with Half Moon Cay and Grand Turk and San Juan in addition to the old staple St. Thomas.

i liked the way lido was set up with those plastic (but very comfy) easy chairs and tables. i thought is was great place to relax at night.

i did NOT like that they didn't have any outdoor drink stations (except one coffee set up far aft). i missed not having cold drinks, ice, coffe, etc accessible outside, and hated trucking in to the dining area every time.
