enough port time for celebrity mercury 2009?

Hi helpful cruise critic people ---

Getting ready to book alaska 2009. Want to do roundtrip Vancouver.

Have it down to HAL Zuiderdam with Glacier Bay versus Celebrity Mercury with Hubbard Glacier. After reading reviews, leaning toward Celebrity, however, I'm a little concerned about late port arrivals (we really want to halibut and/or salmon fish). Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with these ports, and with the below port times, will we be disappointed?

Sitka 11-7

Juneau 7:30 - 8:30 pm

Ketchikan 2:30 - 8:30 pm

 

versus HAL

Juneau 2:30 - 10:30 pm

Skagaway 7-9

Ketchikan 10 - 6

Does anyone have any thoughts of these late port arrival times on Mercury? Its the only thing holding me up............thanks:)

I think the times in port are fine. Juneau has excellent times compared to HAL.

 

Ketchikan is late but there is adequate time. It is better then a lot of ships that do a 6 am to 12:30 pm. Ketchikan has limited port times for a lot of ships.

 

I haven't been to Sitka.

 

I wouldn't let these times hold me from a ship that you want to do.
