Bermuda - For the wilder group

Everything I am reading on Bermuda basically says it is a beutiful laid back place with lots of nice beaches and plenty of siteseeing. What about things for those of us who want it a little wilder. How is the nite life there? Are their any casinos? Not looking for the crazienss of Vegas, but something a step up from places that roll up the sidewalks at 8PM. Thanks.

Consider the 'Pickled Onion' in downtown Hamilton. This place seemed a little 'livelier', but was busy when we visited.

There are no casinos in Bermuda. There are some bars with music at night though. As the earlier poster mentioned the "Pickled Onion" is very good. The Frog & Onion at King's Wharf is also a lot of fun.

First where are you docking? If in St George's, White Horse Tavern. If Dock Yard, Frog & Onion. Or you may want to go into Hamilton, then Pickeled Onion, Flanagan's, or pretty much any other one along Front St.

And a BIG ON CASINOS. :(

No matter where you go in Bermuda at night, I really don't think you're going to find the really "wild" atmosphere you might expect at Carlos n Charlie's or Senor Frogs in the Caribbean, or riding the Kukukanuku Bus from bar to bar in Aruba.

Have to agree with Herb. Sounds like Bermuda is just not the sort of place you're looking for. That said, I've never actually heard anyone say they had a bad vacation in Bermuda. Our family includes a 20 year old son who prefers things on the wilder side and he managed to have a good time two weeks ago. Said he'd still love to go back next year even though he did miss the nightlife.
