Barcelona Night Time Sailaway

Recommended Posts

Hello All:

I will be on the Noordam in September and we are set to depart Barcelona at 10PM.

Can anyone provide an opinion on the sights of Barcelona at night while sailing away?

We are trying to make a plan for the evening, and deciding whether to be up on deck or not.

Thank you in advance.

The cruise port is opposite the main Cemetery and right on the outskirts of the city. We could just see the towers of the Sagrada Familia. There is little to see as you sail away. However, if it is a nice warm night, it should be good on deck anyway and if there are other ships in port, as there were when we sailed, there might be an exchanging of horns in salute to one another.

I agree...it's always nice to be out on deck at a night-time sailaway, but sailing out of Barcelona won't be as spectacular as, say, sailing out of New York at night, or even an Acapulco, Venice, or, as we just did, Monte Carlo.
