Formal gown in carry on?

Recommended Posts

We will be flying into Tampa from Pittsburgh and will be "trying" to secure a nonstop flight. Do you gals put your gowns in your checked luggage or your carry on? I'm considering putting mine in my carry on because I will be just sick if by chance my luggage gets lost if we end up having connecting flights. Just curious!

I guess it depends on the dress! I have formal gowns that could fold down to nothing--and come out looking fine! Now, a taffeta ball gown--no way! Something slinky, jersy-type material will do just fine!

I always have too much stuff to "carry-on"--basically, my makeup case travels on the inside of the plane with me--the clothes suitcase always gets checked. (I simply CAN'T pack light!)
