Sushi on Victory?

Hello -

 

I believe I read somewhere that the sushi bar was only open for lunch onboard the Victory. Is that true? And also, has anyone had any experience with the sushi? We are BIG sushi fans and were excited to see it was available...just wondering how tasty it is.

I used to see sushi in the late afternoons near the bar in the casino.

I don't mean to burst your bubble, but I can't imagine that a real sushi fan wouldn't be disappointed in what is served on Carnival. It's not bad, but it's not really sushi. I don't think I've EVER been served any raw fish at the sushi bar. It's all cooked...

On the Sensation one night the rice was dyed purple. It matched the ship's decor.:confused:

It was so bizarre that we couldnt stop lololol.:)

I just got off Victory yesterday - Sushi was available daily near the casino from, I think, 5-8. I saw cooked mackerel and octopus and one other cooked thing I can't remember. The rice was white :) I agree with Drew B, not bad but not really sushi.

I was on the Victory in April and Sushi was served near the casino bar while waiting for the late dining seating. They didn't have any in this area during lunch.
