Jackale Posted June 22, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2008 Just wondering - do the staterooms have safes?
MIZZ_K Posted June 22, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2008 Yes, they do, I sailed her twice last year and used the safe both times.
Senoj84 Posted June 22, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2008 You will need a card with a magnetic strip to use to open it-like an old gift card or old debit/credit card.
avp1234 Posted June 22, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2008 So....anyone with a magnetic strip card can open your safe? Is that really secure?
MIZZ_K Posted June 22, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2008 No.. it has to be the one you used to lock it, someone can correct me if I am wrong.
ocut Posted June 23, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 23, 2008 no your right....it has to be the same card to open adn close it
bunny1954 Posted June 23, 2008 #7 Share Posted June 23, 2008 no your right....it has to be the same card to open adn close it And DON'T use your sail and sign card. Unless they have replaced the safes, it will demagnetize your sail and sign card forcing you to go to the purser's desk to get a replacement. :o Someone locked the piece of paper with that information on it INSIDE our first ever cruise on Fascination. whosyourdaddy Posted July 12, 2008 #8 Share Posted July 12, 2008 No.. it has to be the one you used to lock it, someone can correct me if I am wrong. That is correct, we used an old gift card from Wally World, its great peace of mind to leave the diamonds and cash while out on excursions!
