Los_Lobos Posted June 25, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2008 Sorry, I am sure this is answered somewhere but I can't get my search to work, will be cruising on the Triumph June 09 and was wondering what ship class this boat is and how it compares to the Pride. Is there a big difference in size, age or what makes one class better than another? Thanks in advance and again sorry if this topic has been asked many times before. Is there a big difference in size, age or what makes one class better than another? The Spirit class ships are slightly skinnier, as they are designed to fit through the Panama Canal (aka "Panamax" sized). They also have a higher ratio of balcony cabins, and fewer overall passengers than Carnival's Post-Panamax ships, including the Destiny/Conquest/Freedom class ships I think the Spirit class ships are the nicest ships that Carnival has right now. They include the Spirit, Pride, Legend and Miracle.

I feel much more at home on a Spirit class of ship, the width (or lack there of) definitely has something to do with that feeling I think.
As You Wish Posted June 25, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2008 I've found the charts on Wikipedia helpful when I'm trying to decide on a ship and don't know what year it was built or what class or size it is.
