Ship Classes

Los_Lobos

Recommended Posts

Sorry, I am sure this is answered somewhere but I can't get my search to work, will be cruising on the Triumph June 09 and was wondering what ship class this boat is and how it compares to the Pride. Is there a big difference in size, age or what makes one class better than another?

Thanks in advance and again sorry if this topic has been asked many times before.

Hmm, I think you meant 963 feet for the Pride.

The Spirit class ships are slightly skinnier, as they are designed to fit through the Panama Canal (aka "Panamax" sized). They also have a higher ratio of balcony cabins, and fewer overall passengers than Carnival's Post-Panamax ships, including the Destiny/Conquest/Freedom class ships

I think the Spirit class ships are the nicest ships that Carnival has right now. They include the Spirit, Pride, Legend and Miracle.

I agree, bigger is not always better. I feel much more at home on a Spirit class of ship, the width (or lack there of) definitely has something to do with that feeling I think.
