kids and beverages question

Been a while since last cruise...

How much do sodas and non-alch. drinks run.

Used to be you could bring a certain amount of soda with you. Can you still? Traveling with 5 kids in the group.

What beverages are there for kids that are included? How big of a savings is the drink cards, etc.?

What cruiseline?? But, most sell "soda-cards" entitling you to unlimited sodas. Cans run about $1.50-$2.00 if you only want the occassional soda. You can bring sodas onboard most lines, tho.

Tea, lemonade and sometimes fruit punch are included in most cruiseline fares--and ice water!

The soda cards only save you $$ if you drink about 4-5 sodas a day (which is an awful lot of soda!!!) The cards are per person.

most lines still let you bring non alcoholic drinks aboard without smuggling. With 5 kids it would be well worth your while to get a rolling cart and bring a couple of cases of drinks and some waters. If your kids like iced tea that's usually free. soda cards for all 5 kids for a week will run you about $245, Like others mentioned some lines even have free lemonade or puch if you ask. Have fun!!!

First of all if we knew what cruise and cruise line you were taking it would help. But as others have said there is a convience to the cards . They are for unlimited on RCCL and CCl at least. But as far as sharing most feel it is not fair to do this..just breaking a rule. There is pleanty to drink without buying soda. All non carbonated. Can you just allow maybe 1 soda a day to see if that works . That way you only spend ..what $10.00 a day for the 5 kid's. make it a treat. But if you really want to have the unlimited then it does cost a lot. Maybe bring a couple of cases on board 1 case of water's and 1 case of soda. Then if you need more then limit it to the 1 a day or buy more in a port to replenish your stock. Just some hint's that may help..by no means i am experienced..i am a grandmom and mom but not experienced cruiser.. i have been only on 1 other cruise. Just trying to help you if i can.:D
