cruising with 1 year old baby.

Please suggest the best cruise line to bring along a one 1 year (18 month to be exact) old baby!

At my blog (link in my signature), I outline all of the programs for each cruiseline.

 

Off the top of my head - here are the pros/cons for the main cruiselines

 

Disney - Flounder's Nursery, pay per hour service, on board infant water splash area for non-potty trained children

 

RCCL - In-cabin sitting for those 1 year and older, Freedom class ships (Freedom, Liberty, Independence) and Enchantment of the Seas has a baby water area called the Baby Zone.

 

Carnival - Has some group babysitting times for Under 2's. Will change diapers. No baby water areas, would have to bring an inflatable.

 

NCL - No babysitting. But child would only be charged port fees/taxes instead of the 3rd/4th rate that other cruiselines charge.

Last year we went cruising to western Med and my daughter was 18 months. We really enjoyed NCL because we could eat when ever we wanted with the Freestyle cruising option.

Carnival Inspiration and Imagination do have the water areas for babies in the new waterworks section. Babysitting at 10p-3am every night and on 12-2pm on sea days.
