Tips for a transatlantic cruise?

We usually get into a routine, no matter what cruise we are on.

We have breakfast in the cabin, take a walk after breakfast either on board or in port. Return to the ship or cabin, enjoy some sun on our balcony. Participate in ongoing activities that peek are interest in the daily log. Have a late afternoon lunch in our cabin, take a nap. We often skip the MDR or go to the late traditional dinner, check out an even show. Return to the cabin, enjoy coffee and watch the news on TV.

 

It is amazing how wonderfully the days pass at sea. Our next TA, our 5th will be on the Nieuw Amsterdam in April of this year.

I don't know how or why the thread was resurrected, but I'm glad it was - we're booked on our first T/A in October on the Nieuw Amsterdam. We've sailed on the ship before, and are really looking forward to the experience of several days at sea.

We love those sea days especially on a TA. We're just waiting for a cruise itinerary that is just sea days, no ports of call......... We'll be the first to sign up.

being a A type personalty and a artist and a store owner,, my first TA was tough for the first couple of days,, --but then the magic came , and after 7 days , I was as calm as a zen master-- to this day, that was the best therapy I could have had--- maxie
