FarmGal65 Posted August 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2008 I know there is a charge on Princess when you have wine opened at dinner. Is there a charge if you open it in your cabin using their opener? Is it even possible to use one of their openers?
cruiseryyc Posted August 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Easier to pack your own in your checked luggage. Yes, room service will bring you one and open it - but you have to wait for them.
sultan_sfo Posted August 8, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Pack a wine opener in your luggage. If your intent is to open the bottle and take an open bottle to the dining room, you are likely to be charged corkage as well. But if you drink the wine in your cabin there is no charge. paul929207 Posted August 8, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 8, 2008 We always pack a small wine bottle opener in our checked luggage. Never know when we might need it.

drakes2 Posted August 9, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2008 I always bring my own wine from home, but on our next cruise we are doing a B2B and our TA is giving us a bottle of wine for each week so no need to pack any. DH doesn't drink so 2 bottles should do me, as I sometimes enjoy a martini or two after dinner. Do you pack the wine from home in your luggage???
