Last minute luggage question

Work on the basis you will not have your luggage - it is very variable even if you have a prioirty delivery. Do not worry first night is always casual and many people are in their travel gear or have put something light weight in their carryons to change into

I agree. First night many people are usually quite informal. I'm sure there are many horror stories, but in close to 20 Celebrity sailings I can honestly say we have never had a problem in getting our luggage. The only issue might be if you have a very late sailing (such as 11:00 or so out of Puerto Rico) and you did not board the ship until late in the afternoon. In that case you may not have your luggage for an early dinner. But again, the first night is generally more casual than the rest.

We've always had our luggage by mid to late afternoon, except for once when one case didn't show up until mid-evening even though the other three came early afternoon.

Bottom line is you should have it but don't count on it. Carry on the essentials if you want to be able to change.

Just as everyone else has stated, we have always had our luggage by late afternoon except for one time. We packed a hard backed suitcase full of liquor. We were afraid that it would not be delivered to our cabin. It weighed about 100 pounds, that piece of luggage was the first to be delivered and the rest never came until after dinner that night.
