big aft Posted August 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2008 We love Princess and have taken the CB on the last four cruises for the timing and Carribean travel. Thinking of next Feb on the CB again, the Southern Carib. islands, which would all be new for us.. The question is: Do you think with the changes being made during Jan's drydock, will it feel like a new ship? I guess we want to try new ports, but the only option for that time is a HAL cruise, and we very much like the feel of a Princess ship. Thanks for your thoughts. DanJ Posted August 12, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 12, 2008 I'm sure it will feel somewhat different, with the Piazza, the Crown Grill, the casino moving up a level, and the new suites on Fiesta. You'll still know your way around pretty well, and it might have a bit of that "new ship smell" depending on how much other stuff gets done, like carpeting and furniture. Pam in CA Posted August 12, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 12, 2008 If you remodeled your home, adding a family room, expanding the kitchen, redecorating, would it feel like home or a new home? :) A few things will be moved around on the CB and there will be refurbishing but if you liked it before, you'll like it again. IMHO, it's the crew that makes the difference, not the drapes.
Whimsy Posted August 12, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 12, 2008 We have sailed on the CB three times. I hope someday we can sail again on her so we can see the changes. It will be like seeing a new makeover on an old friend.
