dougp26364 Posted August 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2008 One more reason to read the fine print of your travel insurance to make certain this type of strike is covered.
dirtgirl Posted August 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2008 I had to fly a few years ago when NWA's mechanics went on strike. It was extremely nerve-wracking. Driving to Florida from Vancouver is not an option. The insurance we had on the cruise DID NOT cover any strikes. That really sucks for those hapless passengers caught up in a labour dispute. We ended up draining our bank account to buy alternate airline tickets just in case.
