39august Posted April 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Does Brilliance offer first night liquor special of $9.50 charge for multiple bottles to take to your cabin instead of per bottle, as VOS does? Is the flavored rum still $7.95 per liter? Can anyone tell me the price of Crown Royal? And does BOS offer a martini "happy hour" with half price martinis? If so, which bar(s) and what time frame, please? Sailing April 19 Ultimate Caribbean! Yipee!

stretch Posted April 12, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2004 It must depend on who's running the register. On our March Brilliance Cruise, the first night I bought two liters of Tanguaray ($19.95 for both) and one liter of Crown ($9.95) and was charged a total of $39.40. According to my math, they only charged me the $9.50 once. I just checked my multi-paged print out to confirm this. Stretch AAYE PARANDAA! FrankiRN Posted April 12, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Honestly, buy your Crown in St. Maartin, it's the cheapest by far, St. Thomas is next cheapest after that. The ship price in May (Voyager) and November (NE)was $32 for 2 litres plus the in room consumption fee, and you can definitely beat that in St. Maartin. I've never had a problem carrying a litre on board from there, and we usually buy several more for ship delivery. masterbaker Posted April 12, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2004 On the VOS in October the charge was per bottle and the flavored rums were $7.95. We can always count on RCI to be consistantly inconsistant. If you wait until St. Martin you will be dry for half the cruise Maybe buy a bottle onboard the first night and then restock in St. Martin??? See ya next week. 39august Posted April 12, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Thanks fellow cruisers! Does anyone know about the martini question?
FrankiRN Posted April 13, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2004 I believe that all the ships have martini happy hour now, our last 3 RCCL cruises on different ships have had it. I'm particularily fond of green apple martinis. And I should have clarified, we bring one bottle of crown reserve and one bottle of Finlandia with us, then we stock up in St. Maartin. Squire5000 Posted April 13, 2004 #9 Share Posted April 13, 2004 On our Brilliance cruise in February, we bought a bottle of scotch and a bottle of gin. At the register, the guy said we could take a bar brand of gin or vodka at no charge. We took him up on the offer but since we were already stocked for the cruise, I gave it to the guy in line behind me.
erin_cruisers Posted April 13, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 13, 2004 Squire5000: Are you serious? That is so coooool!! I luv the states!!! Up here (Ontario) there are no deals, no sales, and we tax ourselves to death! (well I don't but someone is) I think I'll fill up my mouthwash bottles in Buffalo, then try for a "deal in the ship duty-free, then hit St. Maarten (for re-fill) as folks here have suggested. If theres any leftover, (unlikely) I'll just have to buy more 'mouthwash' before crossing the border again. Grandeur of the Seas 05-31-
Squire5000 Posted April 14, 2004 #11 Share Posted April 14, 2004 Serious. Surprised uo too. Maybe it was a one shot deal, but the guy behind me was a happy camper.
