KY Transplant Posted August 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2008 In another thread I read that after Fantasy moves to Mobile they would offer a one time only 6 day cruise to Progreso, Calica and Cozumel. However in the Mobile Pres-Register I read that there would be a one time only cruise to Progreso, Cozumel & Costa Maya on Nov.10,2009. Maybe they have two cruises or there was an honest mistake on someones part. I am hoping it is Costa Maya. CM is slated to be a regular itinerary on the Fantasy for '09 and beyond. And you can check the link for accuracy, Punkins Dad.:p

jetskier Posted August 20, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2008 Well according to my invoice from Carnival, the hillbilly boat is going to Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Progreso for the 6-day cruise. After that, it is only Cozume/Calica or Cozumel/Progreso. BTW, the cat food is Alley Cat. And in keeping with American tradition, it has been "supersized". And to continue with the untrue garbage you are spewing about the ship, the box is marked "VALUE PRICED" I am fixing to sail on her for the 7th time. I also have my 8th and 9th booked on her also. jetskier Posted August 20, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 20, 2008 You go Dave. Tell it like it is.From your down the road neighbor here in Slidell, LA> JimmyJames Hi Neighbor, I guess we will have to put our "going to town" overalls on when we sail on her from Mobile. :p For those wondering, KY made some remarks about the ship in another post. The thing that gets me is KY is harping on the ship like it is specifically going into drydock to make these changes before it goes to Mobile for us hicks. To burst his bubble, this has been the design of the Cat's Lounge for a long time. The ship didnt enter the southern market until 2006. bamaone Posted August 20, 2008 #9 Share Posted August 20, 2008 I sure wish Carnival would ditch Pro-GROSS-o. It has to be one of the worst ports I've been to.

Dave I'm glad the Fantasy is going under renovation, but then again the Holiday alledgedly went under renovation after its release from Govt service after Katrina. However from my observation one would never guess. Are you confirming the Fantasy is actually littered the way the newspaper & website says it is? Incredible. Entering the southern market is immaterial. There are no geographical boundries on lack of class.
RoperDK Posted August 20, 2008 #11 Share Posted August 20, 2008 But, what is going on with the trashing of the Fantasy? As you can see by my signature, I've been on several ships. The cat food can decor is in one lounge and was actually quite a conversation piece for our crowd. I thought the decor was quite ecletic and whimsical. Remember Andy Warhol and soup can art? I usually don't get involved in the threads that spew "stuff", but I would hate to have someone not book the Fantasy because they believe it. There are many, many pictures out there of the Fantasy so do your homework. It will be GREAT after the water works addition and refurbishing. The only downside for us is that you have to book a suite to get a balcony. I feel better now.... Dawn
firefly333 Posted August 20, 2008 #12 Share Posted August 20, 2008 But, what is going on with the trashing of the Fantasy? Dawn I think you might notice it is only KY Transplant. He/she loves the attention he got by trashing the Holiday. Since the Holiday is leaving they moved onto the Fantasy (which they have never been on). I dont see anyone else, just one person picking on the ship.
jetskier Posted August 21, 2008 #13 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Hi Dawn, You would have to go read his tirade on the other thread. Plus his other posts about the low-class people whom sail on the Holiday. I love going on the Fantasy as you can see from my signature. Rare Tapi Posted August 21, 2008 #14 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Not to be associated with other Fantasy trash talking people here, but I did have a chance to tour the Fantasy 2 years ago and even though areas like the promenade (where the casino, bars and lounges are located) was rennovated and very tastefully decorated, other parts of the ship need some rennovations. I'm not talking a fresh coat of paint or new carpeting. I'm talking MAJOR upgrades. I hope that when the ship comes out of drydock, they work on these areas. I'm cheering for the Fantasy! Mobile is my closest port!
