Sailing out of Venice

Recommended Posts

We have sailed in and out of Venice numerous times. My recommendation is to go out on the open deck rather than staying in your cabin so that you have the opportunity to stand on different areas of the ship. There is much to see and I think seeing it from the open deck is wonderful.

Even if the weather is bad, be sure to go out and look anyway. We sailed away from Venice on a dark, rainy November evening. My husband took some wonderfully misty, atmospheric photos with me holding an umbrella over him and the camera. I got soaked but the camera stayed dry!
