Scottee25 Posted October 24, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 24, 2004 Have any of you ever transferred your booking from RCCL to a TA AFTER making final payment? Final payment is due today so I need to call RCCL and make it but want to see if I can still transfer to a TA in the future. How do most TAs handle the price difference after final payment? Would I be issued a refund for the difference or do they usually apply it to a shipboard credit? Any info would be appreciated! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

NiniB Posted October 24, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 24, 2004 i had a similar experience,, BUT,, mine was the other way around... you all may recall my recent debacle with a WELL KNOWN internet agency,, i posted it here weeks ago...... :mad: long story short i was not going to go through ANY rangling with them so i went directly to RCI to,,,, transfer my booking FROM the TA TO RCI..... RCI did some checking said NO problem,, call the TA tell the manager... called the manager and he was NOT HAPPY,,,, stated we would loose our pricing (NOT true, checked that out before calling),,, manager also stated we could not transfer booking because we had paid in full,,, also NOT true,,,, since i had verified this with RCI before calling the TA..... needless to say i got what i wanted,,, and i will not be doing business with this company any more........ sayhello Posted October 24, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 24, 2004 Just a supposition, but if you transferred the reservation from RCCL to your TA today, you'd have to send the payment to your TA, who would then have to send it to RCCL, and there could be a problem with that happening all today. If the TA couldn't get the payment to RCCL today, you'd lose your booking. I don't know for sure if this is really an issue, but it just seems to me it could be. I know I've read that most TA's require final payment a few days ahead of time (mine did) to allow time for the payment to get to RCCL. sayhello Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
