Ventura - Italian Grand Prix

We're due on Ventura in a couple of weeks, and board on the day of Italian Grand Prix. Does anyone know if Ventura screens the Grand Prix, and if so where, as my husband is an avid follower. We will be onboard in good time for the start - so fingers crossed - lets keep him happy!!

can't speak for the ventura as i've yet to go on her... but the Arcadia had sporting events on tv whilst in the caribbean last year...

 

i guess it must be down to what contract they have for supplying media and the sorts.. a bit like our sky/setanta over here

We boarded Oriana the Sunday of a Grand Prix and my husband was hoping it would be shown. Eventually he went to Reception and asked and was told no. They couldn't show it because they did not have a licence to show it live. That's what he was told.

As anybody cruised and had a celebrity as a fellow passenger. I don't mean somebody provideing the entertainment, but a paying passenger. Last year on the Arcadia I had Sue Lawley as a fellow passenger, my wife sailed on board the Cambera in the sixties and had Carry Grant on board for a trip across to the U.K.

They intended to show German F1 GP on Ventura, couldn't get sat signal though.

Would not being able to receive a sat signal still apply if we are still in Southampton awaiting departure? The GP will be over before we have "Sailaway".
