Piperpals Posted September 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2008 We are going to be in Seattle in September on 3 days out of Vancouver. Don't do excursions prefer to explore ourselves. Was reading about the Seattle underground city tour, has anyone done this and is it worth it? Thanks
SF Cfan Posted September 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2008 I've done the Seattle Underground Tour. It's fun. The 15 minute talk given in the saloon prior to seeing the actual old city is presented with great humor. The actual tour itself is fine. If it's sunny I would do outdoor stuff and save the Underground Tour for gloomier weather. Depending on the weather and your desire to see such things, the outdoor sculpture garden in Belltown would be worth a look. If you want to get a Seattle overview tour, try the Duck, which is a collection of amphibious vehicles that offer a neat way to get acquainted with the area. The Duck leaves across from the Experience Music Project/Space Needle.
Sailorgirlseattle Posted September 2, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2008 I just recently did the Underground Tour, and yea, it's pretty fun and informative. Are you looking to do more touristy things, or live more like a local for your time here? That will help us come up with stuff for you.
