San Juan Rental Car with drops at Cruise pier?

Anyone dropped a rental by cruise pier? Who did you use? Who would you use next time?

We have rented cars in San Juan a couple of times, and I didn't see any car rental place at either pier. We have rented cars at the airport and returned the cars to the car rental place after boarding the ship, and then they have returned us to the pier in the shuttle for free.

We rented from Avis at the airport but returned to the Avis Condado location. When we arrived to return the car they called a taxi for us (large van) which came right away and held four of us with a ton of luggage. Although the taxi wasn't free, we didn't have to go all the way back to the airport and we were only about 5 minutes to the pier. It worked like a charm.

There are no car rental agencies "at the pier". There is basically "nothing" at the pier except ships and cruise terminals. There is an airport for small airplanes across the street. Other than that there is "nothing" there.

I can't remember, it was a dodge so probably dollar.... We went to the ship about 11am, and boarded sailaway was at 10pm. We went to the room ate lunch. Then the guys (there were 3 couples) went to a grocery store, bought some tonic, cokes and limes, went to the airport area turned the car in waited about 15 minutes then took the free shuttle back we were back on the ship by 1:30pm....

The airport is about twice as far or a tad more than Condado.
