Labadee - Is there an adult area?

Just wondering if there is a "kid free" zone on Labadee. Not that I don't like children, I've raised 2. But I would really like a relaxing day at the beach without hearing kids screaming all day.

Not kid free necessarily but I did notice there weren't many kids over by the lighthouse where all the hammocks in the shade were. Just sort of bear left when you get onto the island.

 

i am sure there will be plenty of kidless zones, we sat right in the thick of things and I never noticed any kids, and trust me I am the first to move when I am trying to relax and read on the beach.

We found a double hammock just in view of the big "kids area" and could barely hear them at all. Had we gone back inland further we would have heard nothing.

Isn't Hideaway Beach adults only? I think it is. If it's not officially, then I've always had good luck avoiding kids there. :)

No, but there are plenty of places where you can be "alone". Most families hit the 1st beach you come to when you get off the tender. Keep on walking and you'll find more seclusion.

In my experience (only been there twice) there is no where to get away from everyone. Certainly nothing close to seclusion anyway.

When you are dropping the better part of 3000 people on a few acres of beach area, its pretty difficult to 'get away'.

Whether or not you'll have to hear 'screaming kids all day' depends a lot on when you cruise I suppose, and how many screaming kids are on board.

You could try earplugs maybe.:D
