metal balcoies on Q Victoria

Can someone tell me what the metal balconies are like on the QV. We have one (4038) and cannot, apparentlt, be moved. I'm worried that when we sit on the balcony we'll see nothing but the metal wall?

You are correct when sitting on this type of balcony a6 cabin you will be looking at a steel bulkhead do try to change to a a5 cabin if seeing the ocean is important to you.

We have 4026 soon and it looks like the wall is about a meter high....but we are going and thats what matters and got a very good deal to take it.

Not to worry, I had one of these on QV on deck 4 forward and it was fine. Actually the veranda was about a foot or so larger than the non metal balconies. I have photos if anyone needs them

not necessarily. I had a stern cabin on my QV cruise and because the way the cabins are positioned on each deck we looked down at the balcony of the cabin on the deck below.

Um - If you'd read the quote and the subject of this thread, you'd see that I was referring specifically to the metal-railed verandahs on Deck 4...

...since that's the only place aboard QV where there are metal-railed verandahs.

So Brian what you are saying is that the background of Avalons photo was on the wharf when the boat was tied up. If the photo was taken at sea thats what one would see, the sea.
