GWShark Posted September 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2008 Does anyone have recent experience at Shanghai, Xigang or Dalian as regards landing documentation? Will Chinese immigration allow boarding cards and photo ID as sufficient proof, or, do they require a regular visa in your passport?
paul929207 Posted September 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2008 We have always had to get a Visa for China in advance. If you are going to non-China ports in between Chinese ones, it will have to be a multiple entry visa.
kitty9 Posted September 14, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2008 Do not make the mistake that one couple made. They thought they could get on board and purchase the visa, and when they tried to board the ship to start the cruise, they were denied boarding because they didn't have the Chinese visa in their passport. You absolutely need the Chinese visa stamp, and a mulitple entry one for that matter, before you leave for the cruise.
