Cabin assignment on a guarantee????

Altho' we have cruised with HAL 10 times, this is the first time we have booked a category without requesting a specific cabin. When can we expect to be told what our cabin number is???? We are flying out in 5 days. If I don't have a cabin number by then should I call them? How do I tag my luggage without a cabin number?

It has been a few years since our last HAL cruise. Can we charge casino chips and slot coins to our shipboard account, or do we have to bring cash to the casino?

If you don't have a room assignment before you leave, there will be someone at the pier when you embark. They will have a list of all those that need room assignments and will give you yours then. I did have my room assignment before I left but they approached me anyway since I was booked as a guarantee to be sure I knew what my room number was. I'm not sure what to write on your luggage tag as we did find ours out just before we left so I wrote it in then.

Have you checked your On-Line Check-In pages lately? It usually appears there about 2 to 3 weeks before sailing ... but not always.

 

The porters on the pier will have a list of cabins numbers, and something to write it on the tags.

I usually just get cash advances at the casino, and I believe they charge 3% for that. Seems to me on the Ryndam they also had a way to load your cabin card, but I did not look into that option. BTW we found out what our cabin # was 3 weeks out, while others on our Roll Call found out at the pier. Enjoy your cruise, and good luck in the casino....
