skill&ace Posted September 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2008 Please can anyone tell me... on port days can our child stay in ocean adventure while we go off the ship & if so would it be on condition that we join a RCL excursion only or can we make our own arrangements? acwmom Posted September 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2008 When we went to Alaska on the Serenade, our then 9 yo didn't want to get off the ship with us on our last port day. We just went into town shopping. He stayed behind at Adventure Ocean. He had a great time, and we did too.
vickiw0318 Posted September 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2008 I would ask this question over on the Family Cruise Board. There's probably more experience over there. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
chica Posted September 16, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2008 I have done European cruises, Alaska, etc. In all ports thus far you can leave your child in Adventure Ocean for the day while on excursions. I left my son both when we had cruise line excursions and privately booked excursions. No problem. This was especially good on port intensive cruises, where my son would burn on sightseeing in a couple of days. Have fun! Chica
Rare ronandannette Posted September 16, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 16, 2008 If you happen to be doing an itinerary that includes Labadee, the entire AO program is moved shoreside for the day. This was FANTASTIC, as it allowed DH and I to do Waverunners and chill a little, then participate in some family beach activities with DS and take him to the Splash Bash and water slide after lunch. Really great set up. Happy Sails, Annette
