WWYD? Stay in FLL or head to Miami?

We have two post cruise days on Dec 14 & 15 (sun, mon).

 

I have the option of getting a cheap rental car for $46 through Hotwire.

 

Would you stay in Ft Lauderdale and not get a car?

 

Would you head to Miami with the car?

 

Or would you do something totally different?

 

I am looking for a place to stay that is on or across the street from the beach. I do want a pool but do not require anything fancy. Since it is post cruise, not to picky about dining locations either lol

If you're flying out of FLL, I would stay there....the Courtyard by Marriott is opposite the beach.....has a pool...you can cab it, take the sun trolley or walk to get where ever you want to go....otherwise, you have to pay to park like 25 bucks a day..thus erroding your great deal on the rental!

Fort Lauderdale is a fabulous town. While not quite as exotic as Miami, it certainly holds its own!
