Tossing Flowers off Ship

We were cruising the Med. when Princess Di was killed.

The ship, Island Breeze, held a memorial service on the aft deck, as we left Naples. There were dozens of wreaths and floral tributes dropped into Naples Bay.

Flowers are bio-degradable after all.:cool:

We have a HUGE seafood festival the 1st weekend in October. We have a LOT of commercial fishermen and on Sunday morning they bring their boats into the port for the blessing of the fleet. There is a service in remembrance of the fishermen who have lost their lives at sea. ALL the boats throw floral wreaths overboard in their memory.

The Coast Guard just stopped looking for a fisherman who was washed overboard last week. He will be remembered next year.

Throwing a flower or two should not be a problem..
