Gym on the Star

Hi, I just got off the Star yesterday. Hopefully this rocking sensation will subside soon. :) I just wanted to add that I used the spa (sat in the whirlpools and lounged on the loungers) and there was no extra charge. I didn't have any spa treatments, however.

You got lucky. Using that area is really a pay area. It's a $20/day fee or a weekly fee. But, they don't seem to monitor that: if you aren't using a locker or a robe, I guess you could actually sneak in.

But, it IS nice to sit on the loungers and watch the ocean from the back of the ship!

..... oops! It wasn't my intent to take anything without paying for it, honestly. There was no intentional sneaking :) Nobody stopped me, even when I went in just to check it out in my regular clothes. I really thought the fee applied to the areas with the signs on the doors that said "restricted area - members only," and I didn't go in those areas. Guess I'll know for next time!

I would never lose sleep over it. At $149 a massage PLUS the auto gratuity, I think they can afford it. I have lived in Beverly Hills and Las Vegas and worked on ships and the spa treatments onboard are the most ludicrously inflated I have ever seen, bar none. We did not partake!!!
