Where is the Grand Princess and why?

Enquiring minds want to know. I noitced on the EPS cam the Grand Princeess was docked in NYC this morning next to the Dawn. The ship was gone in the afternoon and after checking her Webcam I was able to see the ship docked in NJ on the EPS cam.

It just seemed a bit odd. Did they disembark in NY and embark in NJ? The ship stil appears to be in NJ now.

I believe the ship is going through a dry dock before it reaches Galveston. I never heard where the ship was being dry docked.

Not sure where she is drydocked but you might read the news release located on the Princess website: [url="http://www.princess.com/news/article.jsp?newsArticleId=na709"]http://www.princess.com/news/article.jsp?newsArticleId=na709[/url] It was released on October 27th and speaks of 'in two weeks she will be sailing from Galveston' So her dry dock is just about over.

Now that explains why for the last week she is being seen around NY.

Thanks for the update. It just seemed odd. The Webcam now says en-route to refit in Galveston. My guess it was a lot easier to move the Ship to NJ to load materials to begin the en-route refit work.
