FASTEDDYS Posted October 14, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2008 Thinking about booking this cabin; has anyone stayed in this cabin? Should I be concerned about funnel smoke or noise from the Deck below? Thanks.
Rare Lois R Posted October 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2008 Thinking about booking this cabin; has anyone stayed in this cabin? Should I be concerned about funnel smoke or noise from the Deck below? Thanks. Hi:) I had this cabin on Galaxy and Mercury and slept wonderfully. Great location and no noise. The cabin was referred to me by friends who had previously stayed there as well. No problems with smoke of any kind. I am staying in 1243 (on the other side;) ) in January. and I am looking forward to it. Is 1242 outside on Century? Its an inside on the other 2 ships. Looks like its a big balcony....bet its a great cabin:)
CathyCruises Posted October 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2008 I was in 1233 and other than some noise and rumblings while docking in the AM it is a great location. But it does wake you up a little--which is okay so you can get ready to go out an explore! We didn't consider it an issue at all. OTOH 1233 had a horrible squeak when we were moving at a good clip (i.e. middle of the night) and I discovered that a previous 'tenant' had stuck a magazine in between the wall and the ceiling--THAT was a very annoying noise but not a deal breaker. You will love being up there!
Blanco-Grande Posted October 15, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2008 I was in Century 1242 on April 2008 Trans Atlantic, 2 windows and a funky side balcony...no lounge chair, small table 2 chairs, has view of aft and starboard... good for 2 people tight for 3, has a sofa, same small bathroom as inside cabins, no special treatment no soot, a little noise from bar below, the bar people can see everything you do on the balcony If it is not too over priced do it.. thomas

waterlizard Posted October 16, 2008 #7 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Hello, We stayed in this cabin on the 8/31/08. The cabin is very spacious. The balcony is odd shaped and is exposed to the sunset bar. You do have a good view from the balcony to the side or back of the ship. This is great location if you want a drink from the sunset bar they will bring it to you with out leaving your balcony. Some additional photos attached
