Beach Club Colony Hotel Local Inside Info?

Howdy Folks!

I've been looking around at Cayman places and got some disturbing reports.....

I've read that the Beach Club Colony Hotel is

planning to close doors??:(

Anyone know anything about this?

Now I understand that their sister property on the north / east side has or is closing soon or already has?

Anyone know/heard anything?

Know of a source to get reliable information?

Last time I was in the area, there was a large sign out front of the Beach Club Colony, advertising a condo development. Unfortunately, I can't remember any more details than that. Drew? Is that sign still there? Does it have a date on it?

Both properties have been sold and the sister one has been closed for a while. From what I have read the plans are to tear down the Beach Club Colony Hotel and replace it with condos - however - they don't plan to close it and tear it down until they have a certain amount of presales of the condos. So - as of now there is no date.
