deck 5? Will I feel the rocking and rolling that I've been reading about? Is there a particular cabin that anyone would recommend on deck 5?

There are no cabins on deck 5, we're talking deck 6. My agent recommended we avoid the H cabins on deck 6, since they are situated aft.

 

We've done G twice, and loved the cabins.

The deck isn't as important as being midship or slightly forward.

We stayed in a deck 5 category H cabin on the Navigator earlier this year. We noticed no rolling. Very smooth ride even though we had to go very fast to get back to FLL on time.

 

The cabin was lovely, no balcony, but a large picture window instead. We thought the location was great, close to Compass Rose and the laundry is located on that deck as well.

 

I would like to mention that we noticed no vibration in our cabin. We did notice it during shows in the Seven Seas Lounge.

I was just on the Navigator as well and the vibration is awful in the lounge.

Currently staying in 529 - Great cabin, near elevators & dining room - very little movement.

 

But like others are staying, it is best to stay in the middle of the ship.

We will be on the Navigator 03/11/09 cruise.

For what ever it is worth.

Our TA gave us a choice of "H" cabin with window or "G" cabin with balcony.

Because our last few cruises have all had balconies we were afraid of just having a window so went with the "G" cabin.

Our TA really did not want us to book a "F" cabin aboard the Navigator and would only do it if we insisted.

From the Navigator deck plan, G and H are "window suites." The balcony cabins are F and above. The F's are not ideal, because they are aft and on higher decks.

You're right, Ted. We had an E on Navigator, which is the minimum balcony that you can get mid-ship I believe. Lovely cabin, worth it, although we got a two-category upgrade included in that booking, so it was a no-brainer.
