tortigabby Posted October 16, 2008 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2008 How do we know who the Cruise Critics on board are. I've seen door signs, and heard that they hold Meet and Mingle parties. Is it in the daily "paper" the ships provide? Thanks...Emerald Princess - 10/20/
Go-Bucks! Posted October 16, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Best thing to do is go to the Roll Call board here on Cruise Critic and see if your cruise has a roll call going. Those folks will be on the ship with you. They may have organized a Meet & Greet or maybe not. Even if they did, it may or may not be published in the Patters. We were told that they will not publish ours, but have read that sometimes they do. :( Some people put up door signs, but not everybody, so I would check out the roll calls. Have a good cruise! Host Kewlguy Posted October 16, 2008 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2008 I've never known of a cruise line publicizing a Cruise Critic meeting in their daily paper. Not saying it hasn't happened. Just that it's never happened on any of the previous cruises I've been on.
paul929207 Posted October 16, 2008 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Best thing to do is join the roll call for you cruise. I have never seen a Meet & Greet listed in the Princess Patter.
Anne Funnell Posted October 16, 2008 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2008 If you join or start a roll call you may be surprised as to how many people will want a 'meet & greet'. When we cruised in April 2006 on the Diamond Princess Sydney to San francisco, we had built up a large group, calling ourselves the Diamond 'Dusts' (Down Under Sydney to San Fransico.) One of the group approached the cruise director who arranged a place for the meetings. These were announced in the Patters but we also had little leaflets printed out and delivered to our cabins. I guess it depends on the size of the group and also who your cruise director is. These things take a fair bit of organizing but some just love doing that. Krazy Kruizers Posted October 16, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 16, 2008 HAL doesn't list any Cruise Critic Meet & Greets in their Daily Program.
RoofingPrincess Posted October 16, 2008 #7 Share Posted October 16, 2008 Neither does Royal Caribbean, and they're one of the lines that will actually host a "Meet & Mingle" party if at least 25 people sign up for it, and would even put an invitation in the cabin reminding us when & where it would occur. I imagine it's not posted because it's more of a private event...
