My dining request was granted

Recommended Posts

We sailed on Liberty last week. About 3 weeks before our cruise I sent an email to rcldining@rccl.com asking we be seated on level 3 at a round table against the railing overlooking the dining room below. They never responded to my email but I was pleasantly surprised to find my wish had been granted. We had the most perfect table for our group of 8. I'm a gold member and this was my 3rd cruise.

Thanks for suggesting I send an email :)

That is great news and a great surprise for you. Just goes to show that RCL will aim to please where ever possible!

Hey, irish,

Thanks for posting that email address. We are booked on the 12/7 Enchantment trip out of Colon, Panama that has been designated as an "immersion" cruise. We were worried about being put at a table of all Spanish speakers at dinner -- DH is fluent, but I have to work at it - not what you want to do every night!

I've emailed a request to be placed with other English speakers, so we'll see if it does any good. We had tried contacting C&A, but pretty much got nowhere but "talk to the maitre d' when you get onboard". We can certainly do that, but it would be nice to have it taken care of prior to boarding.

This happened once before on a Western Med trip, and it was quite exhausting trying to rack your brains to communicate after a long day!

Enjoy your trip, and thanks again --

Wow, that is excellent. Thank you for posting the email address. We usually go to the dining room as soon as we board and check out the location of our assigned table and then request a change if need be (I like to be close to the doors). Sending an email request could make it more likely to attain such a table without needing to change it onboard.

Kathy:)
