In December I Will Be A Diamond Member On Rci , I Am Planning A Celebrity Cruise. Does Solstice Have A Concierge Lounge And If, Would I Be Able To Use It?

As of today, Celebrity does not have a program similar to RCL Diamond Member use of concierge lounge.

We should know more about the Solstice after the first sailing on Nov. 23.

You still need to join the Captain's club to get captain's club benefits. Just call the captains club number and sign up after you reach diamond - be sure to have your crown and anchor number handy.

Celebrity does not have Concierge Lounges on ANY of their existing ships and it does not appear that the Solstice Class will have them either. Too bad really as it would be a nice perk for those paying top $$ for suites and also for their top tier cruisers.

Hi Scott :)

I agree with you. My husband and I really enjoyed the Concierge Lounge during our Mediterranean Cruise to the Greek Isles on Brilliance of the Seas in June.

Ironically, we are diamond members of RCCL's Crown and Anchor Club because we have been on over ten Celebrity Cruises but get better loyalty perks on RCCL than on Celebrity.

Hello...We are also going on our first Celebrity cruise on November 10th and are also diamond members.

From what I have been told, there is no Concierge Lounge on Celebrity. Diamond members on RCCL are considered Elite members on Celebrity. but all in all, I do not think there are any benefits at all, or, very minor ones.

At least as a Diamond member you get a discount on the cabins, some shipboard credit and the Concierge Lounge among other little perks. We did are not receiving any of that on this Cruise as an Elite member.

I am sure someone else who is more familiar with the comparsions, can help us both out.

Dave,

There are very few perks with Captain's Club. We always choose balcony cabins so get nothing in the way of cabin discounts. I think there is a one-category upgrade within inside or oceanview (you pay for one level and get a cabin one level higher - worth about $30-50 p/p). Otherwise, you nailed it - only minor benefits.

We are both Diamond and Elite (and earned them the old-fashioned way by cruising enough on both lines). I don't recall ever getting any OBC from C&A. Are you talking about the casino matching coupons? I think Celebrity does do that. The $300 per cabin discount on balconies from C&A is great and so is the Concierge Lounge. It's strange that the line that claims to be more upscale doesn't come close to matching the benefits of the parent company's loyalty program. The recent announcement about the Captain's Club improvements is quite underwhelming.
