Taxis to pier in Jacksonville

Is it true that taxis in Jacksonville are instructed to NOT take you to the cruise pier before 10:00AM???

I can't confirm anything but I had read on the boards here that they can't drop off until noon.

I have read that one person or maybe two had reported that the taxi's could not pickup anyone going to the port until 11am. I can not confirm that though, as another report came in that they were picked up from their hotel at 10:30 and at the port by 10:45 or so.

 

There is no reason to get there any earlier than 11am, as they may make you wait until then for processing for embarkation. That is to insure that the debarkation is completed and everyone is out and on their way without unnecessary congestion.
