Hi!

 

Bert has left the ships and is living in Nashville with his wife. He is hoping to make it as as song writer. Occasionally, he will fill in for a few weeks on a Princess ship (he was on the Caribbean Princess for a few weeks in August and September), but he will not have a regular schedule.

 

Bert is planning to be on the Ruby Princess for the January 17th cruise as a guest entertainer, but he will only be performing for those passengers who book through his travel agent and become part of the "Bert Cruise." He has legions of fans because he's pure, nostalgic and relaxing fun! He really made our CB cruise for us, as we looked forward to his sing-a-long show each evening. We made a lot of great friends at his shows, with whom we shared other fun experiences with that week. It takes talent to be able to inject comedy into song standards, as well as to be able to make numerous key changes during any given song. My husband purchased Bert's CD of original music, and he's a very talented songwriter and serious singer too.

 

Not everyone enjoys the same things, and that's why ships provide a variety of entertainment. So, be mystisfied if you wish, but don't throw water onto the fire of those of us who love Bert.

On our first cruise on the Caribbean Princess a year ago, we enjoyed hearing Bert during several evenings. Though it was often silly, we didn't mind.

 

The 2nd time on the Caribbean, 2 months ago, was not the charm. We just coundn't get into it. The manic humor got on our nerves, and we didn't go back again. I guess we reached our limit of Bert.
