Pajama Party?

Recommended Posts

We had a Pajama Party Breakfast on the Radiance Member's cruise last September. One of the gals on our roll call (thanks Susan) made arrangements with the Maitre 'd and they had the entire center section of the main DR reserved for our group. Most of the gals (and even some of the guys) dressed in Polar Bear Pajamas. Reyno, the Concierge at the time even joined us. We had a fantastic time.:D

I think it's a great idea if you don't sleep in the nude.

I've been a group leader on a number of cruises (in fact several were with the very same group that was the first group cruise that CC ever had - anyone remember Kirbi & the Cruisers?).

Carnival "copied" the idea back when and several others picked up the idea as well , but I don't know if they still do it. It's always lossa fun; especially the looks on the other passengers' faces as they group "parades" through the casino, etc. The PH Group that we've taken several cruises with also has a last night PJ party.......

If there's not one organized, plan one yourselves by the pool one day; trust me, the idea will catch on!

I read somewhere that RCL has a Pajama party on the last evening of the cruise. Is that something new? Never saw one listed before. Has anyone been to one? Is it held on the pool deck or a Lounge?

Thanks

Like a lot of things, just because it happened on some sailing reported by some cruiser does not mean "Royal Caribbean" has them. In this case, it sounds like something the Cruise Director came up with. I don't beleive it's prevalent or standard.

Great that means that a CD has some pull to add some diversity to their sailings because it is a breath of fresh air to find something different apart from the set standards that RCL does.

Yeah, you would have to not overdo it on the last night....but the last night theory was 2-fold....1/ so the only clothes you'd have to leave out are the PJ's that you wear out that night and to bed later........and don't forget to leave something out to wear home the next morning. And the other reason for having it the last night is for a "wonder why we ever go home" type event; good time to exchange emails with the friends you've made, etc.

Guess there could be a justification for having it the last night or for any other night LOL

Thanks Patti. Barb actually did the initial leg work to get 'approval' for us thru the group coordinator. I just did the follow thru with Reyno. We all sure had fun, didn't we!
