Is there an area to store you bag's either before or after the cruise in the Cruise Term..have not been out of San Diego in years and we get in early and want to go visit the Midway before or after the cruise. Or if someone has any idea's!

I'm way too paranoid to give my luggage to anyone but the baggage checkin guy at the pier. And then I watch him load it onto a bin - and I want to hang around until that bin is headed toward the ship. There is so much confusion at the pier with people coming and going plus I just can't imagine being at sea without luggage and I don't want to worry about it all day! So, I would hang out at the pier until you can check the luggage and then go to the Midway.

Well hopefully the OP is not paranoid too; if it were me, I would go to the bell captain's desk at the Holiday Inn directly across from the Cruise terminal, give the bell man a decent tip and ask if you can leave your bags there while you visit the Midway. There is absolutly no need to hang around watching your luggage which will be taken in to the terminal to be loaded on the ship:)
