Looking for a recommendation for a good beach excursion for a solo female traveler in Cozumel. Looking for relaxing safe beach with a fun atmosphere.

Crusing 11/20 4 night on Enchantement of the Seas.

Thanks

We loved going to Mr. Sanchos http://www.mrsanchos.com/mr_sanchos/home.htm

when we were there a couple of years ago.

We couldn't go there the last time as they had suffered hurricane damage and were closed.

We will be going there again this month. Cruising on 11/09.

You can share a taxi to get there.

The last time we were in Cozumel we went to Playa Mia beach. We skipped the ship excursion and went by taxi. You can purchase an all inclusive when you get there. Ours included a beach chair, drinks, and food. They also have a small pool you can use.

We enjoyed Chankannab---easy $10 taxi ride from pier---had food --pool --nice beach--a couple of shops--plenty of seats and shade---decent food offerings----its a national park--nice botanical gardens for strolling

usually a $2 off coupon on cozumel insider page

We had a great time at Mr. Sanchos back in Jan 2008. The beach was great and service wonderful. That being said we let a taxi driver talk us into Paradise Beach this last time in October. They have a trampoline and iceberg with kayaking and floats for all day for I think $10. While that was great the sand there was not. There was very little actual beach. The sand felt hard and dirty. There wasn't much room to actually enter the water where it wasn't covered in huge rocks. I much preferred Mr. Sanchos. The food was better at the Paradise restaurant though. Mr. Sanchos is a little further down the road so the taxi may be a little more money but we found it less crowded and more relaxing. They also had outdoor showers to wash off the sand which Paradise did not. Whichever beach you pick, please make sure you check the price on the taxi board and CONFIRM price and destination with your taxi driver. I've seen them try to pull fast ones....
