The Cave Shepard shop at the pier prices the liquor 3 ways. For local consuption (take it from shop) highest. Duty free Barbados $ and DF us$. sent directly to the ship- lowest. They have about 5 brands of rum in different sizes and formulas. Mt. Gay is biggest seller followed by Cockspur. I usually buy the older rum as it's the best buy and not always available in US. I'm paying about $21 for a 1.75 MYG Eclipse here in Florida. The Extra old is $35 for a 750. They also offer a Sugar Cane rum or brandy that's very good. Buying it on the island you also get the 86 proof rather than 80 in the states. You can find some in Imperial quarts which is 1.1 ltrs. Hope this helps. Stooping there later this month.

My wife won't allow me into the rum-shops any more :cool:

We live on the outskirts of Bridgetown, literally 10 mins. away from the Port.
