Rare Terre Posted November 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2008 I know, I know...another thread about dress in the dining rooms...but it's been so long since I've been on X and have gotten so used to Carnival's casual dress that I don't want to not bring the right clothes. Are capris worn in the dining rooms for dinner or do the majority of women wear dresses. If dresses are the norm, are sun dresses okay. I remember that formal night was really formal on the Century, but like I said, it's been a while since we were on X. I don't remember our Horizon cruise being as formal as the Century. We will be on the Summit in April.
JanineM Posted November 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2008 Formal nights are still formal on X. Capris or sundresses are fine on casual nights. We haven't sailed since they did away with smart casual, but suspect you'll see the gamut from sundresses to cocktail dresses.
Ma Bell Posted November 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2008 I think you may be confused. There are two dress options now. There are formal evenings and all the rest are smart casual. No casual or informal anymore.
