Jewel Check In and Boarding

I am on the Jewel out of Miami on Sunday.

 

What is the earliest I can check in and get onboard?

 

I am a Latitudes member. Does this make any difference to check in time?

 

Are the cabins usually ready too or will I have to wait in public areas?

I think we checked in around noon last year and there were already pleanty of people on board.

If all goes well, check in time can be as early as noon, apparently. Unfortunately on our cruise last month, the ship needed some extra attention so they didn't start boarding people until nearly 1:30. None of the cabins were ready until 2:30.

In New York we were issued numbers, and sat in groups with the same number, on folding chairs (which they provided.) When the time came to board, they called the number and everybody gathered up and were boarded.

Probably you will be on board, if you get to the ship about 11:30 by 12:15 or so, maybe even a little earlier, yes, there is a latitude line and no, you cabin will not be ready. Well it probably will not be. You may be able to drop your carry ons off and then go to lunch, check out the ship, whatever. Usually the cabins are ready between 1pm and 2pm.
