i reserved an ocean view guarantee.. the docs show O-D.

does that mean i don't learn which cabin I have until I am at the port checking in?

if yes, how do I fill out the luggage tags?

thanks,

Carol

Most likely your cabin assignment will show up in your Online CheckIn form about 3 weeks prior to sailing. But IF you don't learn it before you get to the pier, the porters will have a list of names/cabins and a marker to write your cabin number on the tags right there.

Generally, the documents come long before the cabin assignment. You can check the check-in form on HAL's website right up to the day before sailing (possibly the day of?) to get your cabin number. It should appear anywhere from 3-1 weeks before sailing---more or less, plus or minus.

If, however, you don't know your cabin number when it comes time to complete your luggage tags, just leave the cabin number area blank. When you get to the pier the porters will have manifests. You can ask, and they will tell you the number to add. Just have a pen handy.
