Ocean Spirit Posted November 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2008 I've booked a D2 balcony cabin on the new Independence of the Seas. RCCL site states that the cabin is 214 sq.ft & balcony 68 sq.ft. On other online travel sites, they state that the cabin is 188 sq. ft. and 50 for the balcony. Why such a difference between sites? cruiseguy1016 Posted November 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2008 I don't why they would be different but I would believe the RCI figures.

The 188/50 combo stats are for the Voyager, Explorer, and Adventure of the Seas. Many travel sources have kept these numbers and just generally assume that all Voyager and Freedom ships are the same. As you can see on the RCI site, the Mariner and Navigator as well as the entire Freedom class are different. Bon Voyage~~ Leslie
bajathree Posted November 11, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2008 ....and they consider that the Junior Suites on the Sovereign class aren't even as big as the D1 or D2's on Freedom Class...thats enough to make you dizzy:eek:
